"We're going on a trip, on our favorite rocket ship..."

Madeline is doing much better yesteday and today. Hardly any spitting up. It has been so incredibly hot. I can usually handle the heat, but its really out of control. It doesn't seem to bother her, but then again she goes from AC house to Ac car to AC store. I think I am going to get her something to play with while we are in the car. It used to be you'd get down the block and she'd be sleeping, but not so anymore. She starts 'talking' , very loudly. And them screaming. The only thing that stops her is singing the theme song from Little Einsteins. And I have to keep singing it, over and over... While I wouldn't call her a disgruntled passenger, she does seem to be bored. Maybe I'll go to Babies R Us and get her something to look at.

Reflux Returns

Well, we thought we were all done with relfux. You know, breaking up the bottle into small ounces to aid digestion, spitting up, crying, wheezing... but no, we're not done. Madeline still has reflux and it has been acting up the past few days. The specialist upped her medication and we're waiting for it to take effect. In the meantime, we're back to primarily bottles, because we feel like the fruits were making matters worse. Once she is all set with the meds, we will reintroduce fruits.
On a semi-related note, her not feeling well has led to mass destruction of her routine. She slept today until almost 9 o'clock (usually wakes up b/w 6:30- 7:00am) It is now 2 o'clock and she has yet to take her 11:30am nap- the baby is just not tired ! She was in her crib making dolphin noises and squealing at her mobile. I finally gave up and now she's in her exersaucer chewing anything she can put in her mouth. I'll try again later for a nap.
I took her this morning to have her pictures done. Only one pose came out well... I don't think I am going to break my neck getting her picture professionally done again. I can take better pictures myself. The lady seemed very unsure of herself and kind of annoyed Madeline couldn't sit up yet.
I just asked Madeline if she had somethign she wanted to say on her blog and she responded " heeeeuuuuhhhh".

"Pretty Pretty Girl"

Madeline thinks its pretty funny when you call her Pretty Girl, but as you can see, she is indeed a pretty girl. She must be teething as she has been a little cranky the past few days. Also having trouble sleeping. She's getting excited for her trip to Florida in a few weeeks- as are we!

Madeline does not like Apples

My poor baby did not enjoy her first taste of apples( see picture). They have since been Maddy-Approved, along with bananas , and we're going to try pears when she wakes up.
