Rollin, rollin, rollin....

Madeline is rolling over- front to back and back to front. She is presently taking her first unswaddled nap as a result of her trying to roll over at 3:30am. She is still trying to figure out what to do with her arm once she rolls over on to it- but generally she's pretty happy about being semi-mobile. I am not so happy about the rolling during diaper changes ( we have moved on to the floor to freshen up) .
Maddy tried peas for the first time yesterday and she gagged. She looked at me like"This doesn't taste like sweet potatos! " She felt that way about apples the first time, too. Yes, Emma, she likes apples now.

Maddy the traveler

We are in Sunny( and sometimes rainy) Florida. Madeline decided sleeping is not nescassary anymore. Looking at people on the airplane is a lot more fun than snoozing and 3 am is a fine time to wake up and tell us about teething. Poor baby. She's having some trouble adjusting to the new sirroundings . She's also teething pretty bad. We are still waiting on that tooth!

A Day of Discovery

What a day Madeline had today. Not only did she roll onto her side for the first time, she also discovered her toes. She spent the afternoon rolling onto her side, touching her toes and squealing with delight. She skipped her nap. All the activity led to a meltdown, and she finally fell asleep about a half hour earlier. I will post pictures of Madeline's delight with her newfound hobby tomorrow. I left the camera in her room and I don't want to wake her.

Happy Six Months, Miss Maddycat

Madeline is 6 months today... I can't believe how fast time has gone. The first 3 months go very slow, but now time is flying. Madeline is such a big girl now. She's back to her usual beautiful, sun shiney self after a bout of reflux. Today she reached out for me to pick her up for the first time. Its not a milestone they typically have a place for in a baby book, but it is one I will always remember. We're up in Rhode Island for a few days but we'll go back to NY tomorrow. Next week Madeline will take her first plane trip to Florida. We are all very excited. I will post pictures soon.
