Yay ! Spring !

Madeline and I spent some time outside yesterday. Its hard to believe last week was a Nor'easter... its been beautiful the past 2 days. Greg wasn't home so it became challenging to take pictures and chase after her. This girl has somewhere to be, and fast !
Would you look at the crazy hair? She has hair like me... some days its straight, some days its crazy curly, its pretty unmanagebale. She is no longer a fan of having bows in her hair, so I just let it be.

After 14 1/2 Months...

We finally have a tooth ! I check her mouth everyday and today , on the bottom left, I felt a little something peeking through- lo and behold, its a tooth ! Have you ever heard of a baby not getting one single tooth until almost 15 months ? I was ready to start saving for dentures, I didn't think she had any choppers in there. Of course, now this explains why she has been drooling 24/7, and very clingy( "Mommommommommm"). I tried to capture it on film, but Maddy wouldn't cooperate.

Where's Your Nose?

Grandma D and Baby Einstein have taught her how to locate her nose. She also knows about her ears, mouth and eyes. If you say " Where's your nose?" Maddy will drop whatever she is doing- books, puzzles, stacking cups, and get this serious look on her face, and then -ta da! she'll point to her nose. The seriousness on her face cracks me up, like it takes such concentration to find that cute little pumpkin nose.

Everyday amazes me...

Maddy is quickly becoming a toddler- complete with actual toddeling(sp?) ! She took her first step yesterday - just one step, but its a start. After months and months of giving her every sippy cup ever made, she has stopped throwing it on the floor and actually taken a bonafide sip from her sippy cup. She also points to her nose when prompted, shows me who Grandma and Grandpa are in pictures( both sets), roars like a lion, builds towers with anything-blocks, books, cups, boxes, etc . She also quite enjoys emptying her bookcase, see photo above. And the cutest thing, when she sees someone she fancies, she says "hhhiii" in the cutest voice you've ever heard.
Can you tell I'm loving this age?
